abee – blind lossless/lossy audio testing for mac
ABee is a new, lightweight app for macOS that allows you to easily blind A/B test between lossless and lossy audio. It automatically converts lossless audio into a lossy format and bitrate of your choice, keeps a tally of your choices, and allows you to share your results easily with friends.
ABee allows you to convert lossless audio into .mp3, .aac, and .ogg lossy formats, with bitrates from 320kbps all the way down to 8kbps for MP3s (because it's really funny). You can even save the converted audio file it creates. After the test, if not saved, the app intelligently deletes the compressed audio file it creates to save disk space.
