iPod (1st generation) firmware restore to version 1.0. Tested and works perfectly on a Power Mac G4 MDD running Mac OS X Jaguar 10.2.1. Recommended to use a PowerPC Mac running early versions of Mac OS X for it to function. Tried many times with this method to restore on my 2008 Intel iMac running Leopard and it would not work, although apparently somehow it is possible.
